Covtivvpti nr> Pnrk Page _ Nothing Could Be Finer A movie on the State of North Carolina was shown at Kiwanis Tuesday at Oak Hall, through courtesy of P. L. Barnette. Dr. C. W. McCall had charge of the program and also presented Ker mit Cantrell of Columbus who gave two piano selections. The movie was in technicolor and showed many scenes of the resort sections of the state from the mountains to the coast; also views of farms, cities, industries and many historical landmarks. David H. Prince and Harold Warrington were inducted into membership in the club by Carroll P. Rogers. Guests included William A. Mc Farland of Columbus and Frank Chapman of Charlotte. 50 Red Cross Workers Over 50 canvassers for the new Red Cross drive will meet tonight at Oak Hall to map out plans for the campaign. Retires to Tryon Mr. and Mrs. James W. Marsh all who have maintained a home here for many years, will return to Tryon next week to make their “year round” home here. Mr. Marshall is retiring from business in Chicago and will spend his en tire time here except for about a month in the fall. Men’s Garden Club Friday The Men’s Garden Club of Try on will meet Friday night at Oak Hall for dinner and discussion of Roses. President A. R. Herron has returned from California.
